Australian Shepherd’s Dynamite Turn-Around!
The story below is a perfect example of how Dynamite’s product line, although starting with only equine products, grew to encompass all creatures. Our canine products came about specifically because of stories like Huey’s. When our founder, Jim Zamzow, started creating products for other species, he realized that the same set of nutrients are needed by all living creatures and that when it comes to nutrition, the differences between horses, dogs, cats, bears, birds, muskrats (you get the idea), isn’t all that big. How this Dynamite Distributor treated her dog was intuition combined with what she was taught as a Dynamite distributor.
“My dog, Huey (his full name per my daughter is Huey Badooey Dubertson Green), wasn’t the best bred in the world. He makes up for that with a heart of gold, like his color. His joints don’t line up well and even as a pup after a good run which he loves, he would be sore. So it was no surprise to me when around the age of 10 it started getting worse. I added MSM to his diet and he pretty much stabilized, but here about 3 months ago he started getting a lot worse. He could barely jump up into the car, and was taking several tries to get up off the floor after sitting or laying awhile. I kind of steeled myself to the fact that he may not live to be near as old as I was hoping. About that time, I ran out of MSM and I happened to be very broke at that moment. I was searching my mind for what I was going to try next for him, and here is where you whack me upside the head, because it should not have been a hard search. My horses have been Dynamite horses for 20 yrs or more. I don’t even have an explanation for why the dog has not been (although he quite regularly had a dose of Dynamite Plus for horses and has since he was a pup. In fact, he likes it so much I have to be very careful to keep the lid tightly closed.) As I was searching my mind, I remembered I had a partial bucket of Dynamite Free & Easy for horses stored in the barn. Why not? So I brought up the bucket, said a prayer he would eat it, and sprinkled it on his food—and he did eat it. Within 3 weeks he was getting around noticeably better. Now mind you what was left of that bucket was 10 yrs old. It ran out after 2 months and since he is a bigger, heavier dog I decided to stick with the equine formula and I ordered a new bucket. The new fresh bucket gave him an even bigger boost within days and I cannot begin to say how thankful I am for that. Less than a week after I started him on the new bucket of Free & Easy he broke his paw. It is splinted and needs to remain so for several weeks and as such he cannot walk on it and must 3-leg his life right now. Here is the AMAZING part: Thanks to the Dynamite Free & Easy, my 11-year-old dog is getting around 10 times better on 3 legs than he was on 4 prior to putting him on the supplement. Jumping in the car 3 legged? NO problem! Hopping around the farm? NO problem! Getting up and down off the floor? NO problem! It’s like someone took 5 years off his life. I am so thankful to Dynamite and all the great people that came together to make such a great company. Thank you for giving me my buddy back and relieving his pain. I am looking forward to several more years of love and companionship.”
