This year, Jennifer is making a “Dynamite” return to competition
Jennifer, a long-time Dynamite distributor, decided it was time to make a return to competition. She explains, “My family and I have ridden CGA (California Gymkhana Association) since we were all kids in the late 90’s. We had a blast riding all the timed events such as barrel racing and pole bending. The shows were always very family oriented and we learned a lot about our horses and their care. We had some great adults who shared their knowledge with a lot us horse crazy kids. This was my first introduction to Dynamite supplements and using nutrition as both preventative care and maintenance. Over the years life got a bit bumpy and showing was put on the back burner. In all I only was able to hit a handful of shows and missed out on State Finals for over 10 years. I have finally made my way back to riding CGA again this year with my little mare, Buffy.”
“Buffy” is little but loves to run…
Buffy is a 12.3H Fjord x Quarter Horse cross. She is little but absolutely loves to run. Jennifer says, “We struggled a bit with the first few shows as she was prone to colic. I made some adjustments by using a slow feeder, and switching her to Dynamite TNT and she improved greatly! Adding Dyna-Pro and Dyna Spark also made a world of difference. Her times improved by seconds and you could tell she felt great. We have had some great shows this season with kind and amazing people. There really is nothing better then connecting with people who share the same passion and I truly missed that. We were welcomed back to these riding clubs with open arms”
Bringing in the next generation
“My son leaves the arena every time with a smile ear to ear as he is cheered on and given encouragement. He is four years old and competing in lead line classes on his Shetland pony, and is also a Dynamite horse!” Jennifer shared.
AND, they just received a sponsorship!
Jennifer and her son recently received a sponsorship from Gymkhana Friends Sponsorships for their CGA State Show entries. This is an amazing non-profit that raises funds to help get riders to CGA State Show. Since they’ve began they have helped 100+ riders compete at the finals. Way to go!!
“It has been over 10 years since I’ve competed at CGA State Show, but this year I will be there!”
